This book is in the Henderson Boy's series!! The Henderson Boy's is a group of people who are under cover kid spies in occupied France in the second world war. I really enjoyed this book as it is action packed and exciting. It is a page turner!! I personally think that it was well structured as it i told the stories of each individual character and explained them and their jobs in detail. The book is very easy to read as the bookwas written for teenagers. There are no complicated words, but there are German words. (The book tells you what the German words mean at the bottom.) I think that the characters were realistic and i liked it how they were all different, BUT they were all the same. By this i mean that individually they were all different with their own skills, but in the Espionage unit they are all the same as they had the same training. The main theme in the book is a group of children, which will not be expected, have to infiltrate a U-boat farm. ( U-boats are boats which destroy cargo ships and defend the shores of a country.) The author is trying to say that every oneis different in their own special way. The author doesnot describe much about the settings, but what he does say about them is FANTASTIC!! You feel as if you are really there. the main place that is described is alittle farm town in France. ( This is where all the undercover spies were camping out.) My overall mark for this book is 10/10 as i really enjoyed it and i would recommend it to all younger readers who like spy sort of books. This book is from the Henerson Boy's series and you need to read the other books in the series before to understand it!! (The Escape, Eagle Day and Secret Army)
